The Nashua Choral Society (NCS) is comprised of community members from the greater Nashua area and led by Interim Musical Director, David Williams. NCS is a non-auditioned choir with the purpose of bringing high quality classical and contemporary choral music to the public. Members participate in weekly rehearsals, Monday evenings at 7pm, at the Judd Gregg Hall on the campus of the Nashua Community College.
NCS members have also performed at various community events such as the Holiday Stroll and Nashua Silver Knights Baseball games. Past concert venues have included the Immaculate Conception Church, Pilgrim Congregational Church, and Nashua High School North.
Membership is open to any person who wishes to sing! Individuals who enjoy music are welcome to join, attend rehearsals, and participate in the many activities that support the organization.
Each season consists of two semesters, with one term extending from January to June and the second term extending from July to December. Scheduled rehearsals typically begin in September and continue through May. Rehearsal schedule varies by season and is dependent on the concert program.
During the summer break from rehearsals, NCS hosts “Summer Sings”. On these evenings (which are open to all singers regardless of NCS membership), a classical work is rehearsed and performed in one evening with a professional conductor and soloists.
